When you arrive in Africa, I will collect you form the airport at Kilimanjaro and take you the 1 hour transfer to my lodge - your home in Africa during your stay.

It is newly completed (May 2009) and very relaxing and comfortable with four en-suite bedrooms, a bar and restaurant and set in native African gardens on the slopes of Kilimanjaro close to the famous Marangu Gate - where many climbers start their ascent.

Tarangire National Park and Lake Manyara

Tarangire National Park is one of the least visited but it is a real jewel and well worth a visit since it offers an atmosphere of exploration in this open wilderness.

Lake Manyara National Park is formed from a narrow strip between the Gregory Rift Valley and is renowned for its vast population of flamingoes. other animals include elephants and hippopotamus and is a great opportunity to get up close to giraffes.

Ngorongoro Crater

The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest unbroken and unflooded volcanic caldera. The crater was formed after a Volcano exploded 2-3 million years ago. The original volcano was almost as high as Mt Kilimanjaro, but the remaining wall is around 500-600 metres.

Inside the crater is a population of around 25,000 animals including lions, elephants, black rhino, hippopotamus, wildebeest, gazelles and zebra.
